I have already noted about TED open translation project and I was really excited about it. With the technological advantages, we could able to share our knowledge with people all over the world, which is very good.

I found myself that I could make some contributions to TED translation project and make precious ideas to be heard in my native language Tamil. As far as TED is concern, all the talks published in the site have the wisdom that should be absorbed by people who have the potential of making this world a better place.

With the intention of mine to contributing to TED talks to translate them in to Tamil language, I have already translated a talk of Isabel Allende who made such a nice and amusing talk about passion. I wanted to point out some interesting yet important things she had shared in her talk.

She emphasizes the passion by telling true and real stories. I strongly suggest you to watch her talk, I will embed the talk in this post any way. So let me share some insights, which are I thought to share with you. These are culled from her talk.

Those athletes had sacrificed everything to compete in the games. They all deserved to win, but there’s the element of luck. A speck of snow, an inch of ice, the force of the wind, can determine the result of a race or a game. However, what matters most — more than training or luck — is the heart. Only a fearless and determined heart will get the gold medal. It is all about passion.

Passion always has the power to pave the path for success, I reckon.

Passion lives here. Isn’t it always true? Heart is what drives us and determines our fate. That is what I need for my characters in my books: a passionate heart. I need mavericks, dissidents, adventurers, outsiders and rebels, who ask questions, bend the rules and take risks.

I want to carry in my heart forever the key word of the Olympics — passion.

I think that the time is ripe to make fundamental changes in our civilization. But for real change, we need feminine energy in the management of the world. We need a critical number of women in positions of power, and we need to nurture the feminine energy in men.

I want to make this world good. Not better, but to make it good. Why not? It is possible. Look around in this room — all this knowledge, energy, talent, and technology. Let’s get off our fannies, roll up our sleeves and get to work, passionately, in creating a perfect world.

I believe that if you want to make a change or difference in your society, firstly you should become the change you want. In that case, you don’t have to explain the world what you are up to the life and the way you live speaks itself about the facts and changes you want in the society.

Mahathma Gandhi once said, “Be the change you want to see in the world”. This quote is self-explanatory.

What important is trying to be ourself no matter what circumstances comes in our way and ready ourself to change for good cause. Is it good, isn’t it?

According to Wikipedia, language is “the form of communication considered peculiar to humankind”. Without languages human couldn’t able to make sense in their lives and others, I reckon.

When it comes to life, generally everyone knows at least a language to communicate with others. The more languages you know, the more you understand about the societies, cultures and most importantly you will have more opportunities on the go. Recent years, there is a mania thing attributed to English language, where it has become the more powerful language to learn.

Most of the people around the world are believe that by learning English language they can have better life. Obviously, each and everyone very much familiar and adopt to their native language and that is the only language where they can deliver their thoughts as it is. Languages are blend with social and cultural background, where the idioms we use in languages differ from one another. Sometimes, same idioms may have different meanings in different languages.

Recently I’ve came across an amazing and clear presentation from my all time favourite TED. The presentation was all about the world’s English mania, where the presenter Jay Walker explains why two billion people are trying to learn English language.

Walker argues that English not the language that will dominate all other languages, but it has become the language of problem solving. But, he is very clear at that native language is the most vital part in everyone’s life. In his five minutes of crystal clear presentation, he makes audience to feel what all about this English mania and eventually he succeeded in his task. Have your valuable five minutes to watch this presentation and feel the difference. Hope you will like it as much as I do. Worth a watch!

What do you feel about this presentation? Recently, TED has announced about their new innovative move of Open Translation Project, where all the TED talks will sooner available in most of the languages. Its a great idea worth spreading. There are plenty of talks have been already translated to many languages and counting. Localization of ideas and technologies is very important to define the power of ideas and technologies.

The idea is most precious stage of every task, without any idea how can one accomplish the task? TED is a nice place where you can have all insights of people who have made changes in the world. I thought TED is an idea worth spreading.

People have there own way of expressing themselves when they gaining some important stages in there lives. Oscar is the milestone for every person who involves with Cinema. I was really felt emotional when people who have won the Oscars whispering their voices with excitement. The remarkable speeches made me to write a post about people views and dreams about Oscars. Boy.. Its all about life, you see.

First thing first, when they announced the Best Actress in Supporting Role, Penelope Cruz. She is nominated for portraying the fiery Maria Elena, a divorced woman still locked in a complex relationship with her ex-husband in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. She came to stage and made me emotional when she whisper some words I will never forget.

“This is not going to be 45 seconds, I can say that right now. Has anybody ever fainted here? Because I might be the first one,” said Penelope with trembling body. That was extreme emotional and she also shared story how she grown up to this stage.

“I grew up in a place called Alcobendas, where this was not a very realistic dream. And I, always on the night of the Academy Awards, I stay up to watch the show and I always felt that this was, this ceremony was a moment of unity for the world because art, in any form, is and has been and will always be our universal language and we should do everything we can, everything we can, to protect its survival.”

Everything we can as long we aspire of. The first time ever I’ve heard my mother language spelled at Kodak theatre stage in Oscars. Believe it, A.R. Rahman spelled in Tamil “எல்லாப் புகழும் இறைவனுக்கே” which means “God is great”. I felt that much happy when they announced A.R. Rahman for Music Score for Slumdog Millionaire.

Since, his speech was remarkable, he said, “Before coming, I was excited and terrified. The last time I felt like that was during my marriage. There’s a dialogue from a Hindi film called “Mere paas ma hai,” which means “I have nothing but I have a mother,” so mother’s here, her blessings are there with me. I am grateful for her to have come all the way.”

And I wanna tell you about the speech he made after receiving the Oscar for the Song “Jai Ho..”, where he made me to feel what is all about life and choices.

“The essence of the film which is about optimism and the power of hope in the lives, and all my life I had a choice of hate and love. I chose love and I’m here. God bless.”

A.R. Rahman has contributed many original scores and songs for movie industry in India, his dubut “Roja” was recognized by nationally and bagged awards for music. I never gonna say that Slumdog Millionaire is the best music of Rahman, but it may be the one of the best of Rahman. Rahman deserves a lot. International cinema industry specially Hollywood will come up with Rahman’s stunning music in future. My heartfelt wishes.

Kate Winslet, I know her very much when Titanic movie came in to action in 1997, so then she has been nominated for Oscars for five times but she’s won the Oscar this time, she deserves it. The speech she’s presented after receiving Oscar is consists of her breaths than her words. She is so excited.

“Okay, that fainting thing, Penelope. I’d be lying if I hadn’t made a version of this speech before, I think I was probably eight years old and staring into the bathroom mirror. And this (holding up her statuette) would’ve been a shampoo bottle. Well, it’s not a shampoo bottle now!”, this is phenomenal an the speech will definitely take to your memories of early days.

“Most of all we had passion and we had belief, and our film shows if you have those two things, you have everything,”, said Christian Colson, producer Slumdog Millionaire when he accepted the Oscar for Best Picture. Passion and belief is the two key elements that make our life aspirations come true.

This year Oscar taught me a lot more than a movie does, you never knew people say memorable saying when they started to realise what is all about achievement. I am so glad to have bunch of individuals stating their hope and views on their success last night.

This was an amazing and stunning experience I ever had. I like people who make difference and guide us to make difference. Love you all.

I just across with transcript of the commencement address made by Apple’s boss in 2005 at Stanford University. I’ve already watched his speech in video at YouTube and its was a wonderful inspirational taught that I really had so far. Its better to watched that video, which gives you realistic idea about life and the way we should live.

In his address he had shared some of (exactly three) his own stories, which has given him the strength to be better one among rest of the people. The theme of his address was very clear and compact. “Find what you love, trust your instincts and follow your heart”.

Here are some of my favourite lines from from Job’s address. Worth a reading for the inspiration. If you want to win your life and to be a giant in your life, you should read and watch what Job’s address is all about.

This is something he shared about death and he pointed out how essential us to work hard for today, by imagine the day that we live in is the last day. Jobs says,

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

He also tells people to find what they love, and find the suitable thing for their life. He asks people to don’t stop searching what they have love for.

I’m pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn’t been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. I’m convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.

This is how we have to live, where we can get everything we wanted in our life. Life is full of risks and opportunities where we have to make the choice. Finally Steve Jobs says in his address, “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish”. Exactly, being hungry will make us to find ways to get what we want. Being foolish will make ourself aware about the issues in the life to make ourself diligent. So, “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish”.

On last Friday, I just googled for something related to php and things, those made WWW a boom, ultimately I came across with an interesting youtube video. There is a saying “Picture is worth than thousand words”. When it comes to video it can be a real validator to give the idea, what the message should known to be.

Web 2.0 is the culture, where crowd powered media has established so far. The marketing of web 2.0 products is merely done by the users not by the people who have start the business. This process may sounds strange for you but, this is true. When user gets interesting with particular web 2.0 services, he/she may intend to tell his/her collegueas to check it out. Word of mouth is the prominent and reliable way to spread the message between likely people and its the best form of advertising. Web 2.0 is sets all its standards to work with users and where users can contribute to the service and enhance the way the service be best can be.

The video says all about web 2.0 and things just in 2 minutes. What you say is as important as how you say it – this is the message that video holds itself. So here you go watch this clip and feel what web 2.0 and learn how you have contributed to this culture so far, unknowingly .

Who am I and What am I do?

I’m a 24 year old Web Producer (Programming and Designing). Basically I am very much curious about latest trends in web technology. I used to design and develop websites and applications with interest. I specialise in usability, platform development and online marketing.

What languages do I use?

I spend a majority of my day with PHP, MySQL, CSS, XHTML, Ajax, and the JQuery flavor of javascript. My recent interest and experiments are on CodeIgniter and MVC design platform. I love the way it works so much. I love WordPress a lot and it makes my day in daily basis. Of course, I love Google! I also occasionally use ASP, MsSQL and XML, and on rare occasion, ColdFusion. I do have experience in Visual Basic, and a host of other languages and frameworks. I’m generally willing to jump at any language.

Since, I am very much curious about Adobe AIR platform, these days and love to create a stunning app soon.

What tools do I use?

Notepad ++ is my text-editing weapon of choice. It’s lightweight, free, and provides a wealth of functionality and plugins. I always work at code level, no WYSIWYG. I use Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox for browsing (though I have 3 other browsers to test cross-browser compatibility namely Safari, Internet Explorer and Opera), and some great Firefox plugins to make development time more efficient.

What do I do in my spare time?

I’m very much interested in reading books and watching videos. Inspirational speeches, videos and quotes are some of my favourites. I used to share my favourite videos and interests through online services such as Facebook, Goodreads and Last.fm. I have a habit of writing things in my style in my blogs namely Tamil and English blog. See my online Life 2.0 for about  my online activities.

What does this NIRAM.ORG mean?

Shortly, it’s a digital play ground of mine, you can find anyhting and everything on the go for your inspiration and hope. NIRAM is a Tamil language word which means Colour, I chose this name for my site because this site gonna present my organic life’s colours. I’ll post everything about computer and life that I hope to share with you. It may be a small tutorial about how to recover your deleted file, or it may be a little tech savvy issue. I hope these efforts may give you a better knowledge about computer and you’ll be devised with latest info about computers and more likely about life too.

Let tell us a brief story about you.

I am a computer enthusiast, really fanatic of computer related stuffs (Lets say I am an IT geek). But, science and life are some most interested subjects for me. I love to learn as much as I can. Learning is endless. When it comes to life we have to be ready to absorb every knowledge stuff that make ourself better than before.

Having said that, I have developed all the computer skills that I presently hold within myself by learning and practicing stuff in my own.

I got every knowledge through looking at everything with serious and curious. Curios comes only when we have the involvement on particular subject. This may helped me a lot to empower my knowledge bank, I hope.

Personally, I have real intension to tell everything that I know, to everyone. Hence, This not a small task to do so. I can’t talk about computer viruses when I am chatting about something else with my friend. When time arises, I can tell suitable things at suitable persons in suitable time!! Sounds weird!!!?

My friends used to ask me their computer related doubts, whenever they meet me. I am never hesitate to answer those doubts. They feel happy and content when they have a solution for their problems. Sharing is one of the best practise we can have in our own with other people.

I have launched several weblog in Blogger and WordPress. In march, 2004 I have launched a weblog for our community organization (The organization still operates in our village and online version of it temporarily out of update). After that I’ve launched several blogs for my village. I have used UNICODE to launch weblog in Tamil language — my native language.

I used to write articles in Tamil and English languages. Most of the articles I written have been published in national newspapers. The first was a poem about “My School”, is published in a national newspaper in 1993. From that point there are lot of writings. You can read my English poems which are written by me in 1998.
